Will Parsons

Senior Associate

Will joined Finance Earth in 2022 and works across a range of natural capital investment advisory projects and fund design projects. 

Since joining Finance Earth, Will has supported the Blue Marine Foundation and The Crown Estate on a stakeholder-led roadmap for developing high-integrity marine natural capital markets in the UK, leading and supporting extensive stakeholder engagement. He worked on Community Owned Renewable Energy (CORE), a £50 million renewable energy impact investment fund designed and managed by Finance Earth, which closed with the UK’s largest ever transfer of energy assets to community ownership. He has also worked on advisory projects across a range of ecosystems and markets, including woodland carbon, Biodiversity Net Gain, and Natural Flood Management working closely with the Wildlife Trusts.

Prior to joining Finance Earth, Will worked at Seahorse Environmental, a specialist environmental communications agency, where he helped run the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Sustainable Finance and worked with clients including WWF and E3G on green finance focused projects. Will started his career working in marketing and public affairs for The Wildlife Trusts.

Will has an MSc in Environmental Policy and Regulation from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where he researched strategies and challenges for unlocking investment in natural capital.
