Kerry ten Kate

Kerry brings to Finance Earth thirty years of experience working with companies, financial institutions, governments, and non-profit groups to recover nature in the context of sustainable development. 

Kerry chairs the Strategic Advisory Group on Nature Investment Standards for the British Standards Institution (BSI). She was previously on the board of Natural England, a member of the Natural Capital Committee (NCC), and a trustee of the RSPB. Kerry founded and directed the Business & Biodiversity Offsets Programme (BBOP): a global initiative bringing together over 100 companies, banks, government agencies, and NGOs to achieve a net gain of biodiversity worldwide. She is a member of IUCN’s Commission on Ecosystems Management, a Conservation Fellow at the Zoological Society of London, and a member of the Aldersgate Group.

Formerly a barrister in London, Kerry served on the Secretariat of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development in 1992 (the “Rio Earth Summit”) and was Director of Investor Responsibility at asset manager Insight Investment.
