
Kerry ten Kate

Kerry brings to Finance Earth twenty years of experience working with companies, financial institutions, governments and non-profit groups to recover nature in the context of sustainable development.
Kerry is a non-executive member of the board of Natural England, a trustee of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (where she chairs RSPB’s Conservation Committee), a member of IUCN’s Commission on Ecosystems Management, a Conservation Fellow at the Zoological Society of London and a member of the Aldersgate Group. She was a member of the Natural Capital Committee.
Kerry founded and led the Business and Biodiversity Offsets Programme (BBOP): 100 companies, banks, government agencies and NGOs working for a net gain of biodiversity. Formerly a barrister in London, Kerry served on the Secretariat of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development in 1992 (the “Rio Earth Summit”) and was Director of Investor Responsibility at asset manager Insight Investment.
