Jasmine Yim
Senior Analyst
Jasmine joined Finance Earth in April 2023 and supports across a range of natural capital investment advisory projects.
Since joining Finance Earth, Jasmine has supported Plymouth City Council and the Greater London Authority in developing natural capital approaches, and she played a key role in developing the fee model for the UK Peatland Code in collaboration with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Additionally, Jasmine has worked with the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology to build the business case for a UK Saltmarsh Carbon Code. Jasmine has also supported the Blue Marine Foundation and The Crown Estate in researching and developing High Integrity Marine Natural Capital Markets in the UK: A Roadmap for Action.
Prior to joining Finance Earth, Jasmine volunteered for Rural Investment to Protect our Environment (RIPE), a U.S. non-profit advocating a bipartisan federal policy providing payments for ecosystem services for agricultural producers. She was also an intern at Small Enterprise Assistance Funds, an impact investment management group providing growth capital and business assistance to small and medium-sized enterprises in emerging economies.
During her time at university, Jasmine lead Six Degrees, a cross-university environmental consultancy providing governments, corporates, and NGOs with innovative sustainability solutions.
Jasmine holds a BA in Jurisprudence (Law) from the University of Oxford, with a first in Environmental Law, Land Law and Tort Law. She is also fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.
