Doug Hull

Associate Director

Doug joined Finance Earth in January 2022 with a background in the Civil Service, as well as social investment at Social Finance.

Doug’s work in the Civil Service spans a period of four years where he worked on a range of cross-departmental projects and reports, with a focus on stakeholder engagement and relationship management.

Prior to this, Doug spent 3+ years at Social Finance, a social investment intermediary. Doug led the development and oversight of social impact bonds (SIBs) to reduce youth homelessness in Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool; and improve outcomes for vulnerable teenagers in the Thames Valley and Manchester. He also led the development of an outcomes-based contract supporting young people with learning difficulties in Bradford, and a pioneering data-based project exploring the drivers of young people falling out of education and employment in Newcastle. Doug began his career at Charity Finance Group, where he led the organisation’s engagement with the new social investment tax relief.

Doug has a BA in Geography from Cambridge University, and is also a primary school governor.
