Ben Crane

Ben joined Finance Earth in May 2023 and supports across a range of natural capital investment advisory projects and fund design projects. 

Since joining Finance Earth, Ben has supported on the development and delivery of the UK Nature Accelerator. Ben has also worked on a number of UK-based and international advisory projects, including working with Trillion Trees (a consortium of WWF, WCS, and Birdlife International) on the development and piloting of the Forest Restoration Catalyst, and the National Forest Company to assess options for stacking public and private income sources under the new ELMs scheme. He has also assisted on the development and fundraising of the UK Nature Impact Fund.

Prior to joining Finance Earth, Ben was an investment analyst and project manager at a family office focused on agricultural investment, helping to oversee the responsible management of an international portfolio of existing agricultural projects, and working to develop the business and operational case for new projects around the world.

Ben holds a BA in Biological Sciences from the University of Oxford, and an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London.
